TWIN FALLS, ID – After nearly 32 years on Kimberly Road the Sawtooth National Forest Supervisor’s Office will be moving. The new Supervisor’s Office will be located at 370 American Avenue in Jerome Idaho, the new phone number will be 208-423-7500. The office is located in the Crossroads Pointe Office Complex, approximately 1.5 miles north of the I84/93 Interchange. In 1986 the Sawtooth National Forest moved the Sawtooth Dispatch, the Twin Falls Ranger District and the Supervisors Office located in three different locations in Twin Falls to the current location on Kimberly Road. With the reduction in staff over the years the result is a smaller workforce that doesn’t require as much room. The General Services Administration, a federal agency that helps manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies has been responsible for working with the contractor and owner of the building. When it is finished the Forest Service will lease the building.
The last day at the Kimberly Road location will be April 6, 2018. Movers will begin the process of moving the office to the American Avenue location that weekend and all employees will report to that location on April 9, 2018. It is expected that it will take one week to complete the move and get employees settled into the new office. During this time the public can contact one of the Ranger District offices for assistance.
The Forest will host a Ribbon Cutting and Open House May 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. We would like to invite the public to come and meet our staff and tour our new building. We look forward to seeing everyone at the new building.
